1. All interested candidates should call up (Tel: +61 490852371) for interviews before any commencement of formal lessons.
2. In the interview, beginning students (Grade 1 or below) are expected to :
- play two pieces from your own choices;
- recognize notes by using either solfege (Do, Re, Mi) or letter notation;

- sing as an echo of three short melodies; and
- clap the rhythm of three short passages
* Beginning students without music notation training are exempted for score-reading test. Reading and speaking tests would be conducted as a substitution.
3. In the interview, all transfer students (Grade 2-7) are expected to :
- play two contrasting pieces from your own choices;
- play scales (octave apart in similar motion, chromatic scales and arpeggios) from your own choices;
- read a short passage of music by sight; and
- answer a few questions regarding general music history and theory
4. In the interview, all transfer students (Grade 8 or above) are expected to :
- play two contrasting pieces from your own choices (Time limit: 30 minutes);
- play scales (octave apart in similar & contrary motion motion, scales in 3rd & 6th apart, chromatic scales and arpeggios, dominant & diminished 7ths) from your own choices;
- read a short passage of music by sight; and
- answer a few questions regarding general music history and theory
5. The interview will be lasted for 30-45mins.
6. Successful candidates will receive their results in three days.
